Curious about upcycling but not sure where to begin? This hands-on workshop is the perfect entry point. Together, we’ll deconstruct and reconstruct everyday textiles to create brand-new fabric for your own creative designs.
In this class, participants learn how to transform personal materials—old clothes, linens, t-shirts, sheets, denim, canvas, and more—into custom, usable textile surfaces. You’ll leave with one or more handmade fabric panels that can later be sewn into a bag, garment, quilt, or home good.
Bring along as many personal textile items as you’d like to work with, and feel free to rummage through our scrap bins for added inspiration and texture. This workshop encourages experimentation, creativity, and embracing imperfection as part of the design process.
